The Friends of the Cardiff-by-the-Sea Library is a volunteer organization that aids and supports the Cardiff-by-the-Sea branch of the San Diego County Library. They are actively involved with the literary and artistic activities of Cardiff-by-the-Sea and integrating those activities with the operations of the library.
Holiday Sale: All books, media, and collectibles in the Book Nook and Community Room will be half price December 9 and 10 from 10am to 3pm. Members of the Friends of the Library will be admitted to the sale one hour early, at 9am each day. You can join the Friends now for $10 per year and get the early starting time, and also receive up to five books for half price on Fridays all year long.
They’ll also be holding a raffle for two special books: The Cardiff Kook and His Magic Carpet Ride, an illustrated history of our local icon and his most famous costumes; and The Arabian Nights, by Richard Burton, a leatherbound, illustrated version. All proceeds go to support the library and its programs. Books make great gifts!
