Member Spotlight: Child of Wild [By: Ava Layon]

The jewelry retail store, Child of Wild, is the perfect example of shopping small. They have been a long contributor and supporter of Leucadia 101, by giving up their store front parking to hold local events,  showing us that the community truly is all around. Child of Wild supports many different activist organizations with their proceeds. For example: In 2014, 10% of their proceeds went to The Fund for Global Human Rights. Even now, in 2022 $1,000 of their proceeds were donated to Everytown for the Gun Safety Support Fund. They show their support through their art, 100% of their proceeds from the ‘Pray for Ukraine’ necklace went to aiding war refugees.

Child of Wild is all about self expression, they make art especially for YOU. They have many different collections that speak to many different individuals: The Zodiac Collection and the ‘C&W’ Collection are only a few examples. Their motto is strong and clear, “We relentlessly search for authentic, culturally laden jewelry that has a history, strong artistic voice, sustainably made and ethically purchased.”  Their bespoke packaging is recyclable and crafted with love all to inspire a deeply-felt purchasing experience.

Child of Wild will also be participating in the Annual Leucadia 101 Mainstreet Scavenger Hunt by donating a gift card from their store to the event. On Small Business Saturday, Child of Wild’s promotions will include: 40% off Top 30 Collection, 20% off Jewelry and 15% off all Objects.

Child of  Wild shows us that with the help of friends and family, we can create a feeling of community just about anywhere!
